Horses in the History of Warfare

Major General James E. Livingston served in the United States Marine Corps for 33 years. For his heroic actions in combat he was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor. The citation reads: "for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life and beyond the call of duty."
